Prayer is the most commonly used “alternative medicine,” according to a survey of more than 31,000 adults released by the National Institutes of Health in 2004 - more popular than acupuncture, chiropractic, yoga and vitamins. According to the agency, prayer is considered a “mind-body therapy.” There is wonderful comfort and power in prayer. If you encounter a situation that is overwhelming and downright scary you will find that it will help to take a few moments to go inside and pray. Have a conversation with God. Ask for guidance and protection. Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance and help. God is there for you and the spark of his light and love are there with you always to call on.
